Dr. Bill Hunter, General Dentist

A graduate of Seattle Pacific College and the University of Washington Dental School, Bill began his career in 1973 as a traveling dentist with the BC Ministry of Health. He then established a permanent dental clinic at the United Church Hospital in Hazelton, remaining there until 1985.  After associate work in Penticton and Victoria, he acquired the Fernwood practice from Dr. Bill Basset in 1988.

     

Outdoor activities are prominent:  hiking and backpacking, canoeing, ocean kayaking, backcountry ski touring, and cycling fill spare time.  Several camping trips with Jillyn to the spectacular parks of Arizona and Utah have been highlights.  His "trip of a lifetime" was a two week canoe trip near the arctic circle in the Northwest Territories in 1998.

 

Bill enjoys the music scene in Victoria.  He has played trombone inIsland Big Band since 1988, and he looks forward to classical and jazz events throughout the year.
